Adventures in Associate Doctor role!

So we closed our office. The one we had no business buying right out of school and I couldn't be more happy. It feels like our lives have been a snowglobe that someone handed a 2 yr old. Its been dropped, cracked, upside down, shaken in side out. I can't describe how up side down it has felt. UNTIL NOW!!

We cosed our doors Dec 9, 2010. A total of running our own practice for 26.5 months! And they said it couldn't be done!!! Huhmph! BAh Humbug!

My husband had kept his office open while at the same time accepting an associate ship up in Murray. Closing the office meant NO MORE COMMUTING and no more homeschool momma trying to sleep in the morning with two kiddos fighting! My husband landed a beans and rice job for the same company I worked for just up in Murray and in an entirely different department! So our benefits were the same just in HIS name now, and so was the pay, well, he got a little more hours than I! So I gave my 2 week notice promptly and we looked for a condo in Murray.

We have been here almost a month and I can not get over how different our world is just being 60 miles North of where we were. Its like night and day!

Clearly someone has taken the snow globe from the 2 year old and placed it on a mantle!!! Now, the snow is just settling! He works, I am home full time, my son is in public school and I am just preparing for or bankruptcy experience that is approaching. It won't be pretty but I am sure we will endure it well. What oh what an adventure!

Associate ship seems taylor made for my husband. He has no stress if he sees zero patients, which is usually the case, and he doesn't own anything so he can come and go as he pleases and focus on his craft instead of ALL that other stuff. We plan to step it up! The beautiful thing about the beans and rice job is the more he begins to despise it, the more motivated he will be at trying to find people to help! It isn't easy being a chiropractor! Before, my working full time was great but I could hate it all day and it didn't really effect our office!

Life. Is. So. Good.

He is thinking about going back to school, maybe pilot? or Math (what he said he was going to be when we married!) We'll see.....
